On Saturday 31st October Kaboom will be in front of The Great Lake, set against the magnificent backdrop of an illuminated Castle Howard.
Kaboom is famous for having the very best firework display in the area, in fact Kaboom is recognised as one of the top 10 displays in the UK by Visit England and several other national sources.
As Kaboom is taking place between Halloween and Bonfire night our amazing event will once blend the best of both occasions. Our fireworks will once again be choreographed to a bespoke soundtrack- why not check out our videos of previous displays on You Tube and Vimeo. https://vimeo.com/107986989
Our fireworks are of course fantastic on their own but you also get to experience a whole evening of Halloween themed entertainment with live music and colourful characters on the stage hosted by Minster FM along with a carnival of fire jugglers, neon jugglers and fire poi artists.
On top of this we have the Sparkler Park for families who want to join 'Fireman Sam' for some safe fun with sparklers while keeping the little ones entertained with soft play, bouncy castles, balloon modelling, magic and juggling.
For the more adventurous we have a funfair complete with fairground favourites like dodgems and waltzers and as its Halloween our 'fright night funfair' will also feature a ghost train and other ghoulish goings on!
We know that food is an important part of your Kaboom experience. We didn't have enough last year meaning longer queues than expected so we have worked very hard to make sure there is a massive improvement this year. We have redesigned the layout of the event so that we can fit in lots more caterers and we will have at least double the amount of choice.
As if all of this wasn't enough you may also see a headless horseman or the ghost of Guy Fawkes wandering through the grounds, there will be pumpkin carving and spooky storytelling in the woods and all of this action will be complimented with a specially commissioned light show to present the famous stately home in a wash of brilliant colours and projections as part of the Illuminating York Festival.
In 2014 Kaboom was the first and only UK firework display to host a unique and atmospheric outdoor cinema screening experience. We are currently working on our theme for 2015 which will lead to us once again showing at least one (maybe two) iconic movies on the big screen.
Kaboom really is the must see event this year!
